Day 2: Fireflies

ImageMy babies are like the fireflies
Their light cannot be captured
To savor in a jar
No photograph can suffice
These children will not still
Darting in and out, zippidy-doo
Memory making
Crafting too
Amazing their elders
And peers to boot
Kids, stop flying
I think I need you
Break in my cafe
Tame your glow
Rest your wings
Take it slow
My lid has holes
Large enough for you to fly
Your light has potential
You have a keen eye
You see the places
To be explored
You want to learn
And live
And soar
I cannot stop you
Nor will I try
You will always be
My little fireflies.
