Criminal [day sixteen] {NAPOWRIMO}

From the trees you sprouted
Swirled like dust around
Into my nose you alighted
The sinuses you found

Some may call you allergies
Pest, pollen or mold
I call you annoying
My fate for which you hold

The tickle is how it started
Crept into my tiny neck
Cough, chill, congestion, sneeze
Come on now, what the heck?!

Spring is here, Easter in a few
Sunshine been hanging for days
All the flowers are in bloom
But my mind is now a haze

Meds, vitamins and prayers
Are fighting you at last
You won’t keep me down for long
Your memory in the past

Rest I will, pray some more
To fight, to fight, to fight
Victim I am not
To the allergy/sinus plight
